By The first-party Xbox title makes its console introduction
Amidst all the April enthusiasm surrounding Xbox Game Pass, you might have overlooked that we have another Xbox first-party title arriving on the platform this week – the previously PC-exclusive Towerborne!
Indeed, this is a side-scrolling action RPG crafted by the creators of The Banner Saga, and we had positive remarks to share about it last year, commending its “engaging and entertaining ARPG mechanics, vibrant visuals and cooperative multiplayer approach”.
Towerborne is scheduled for release on Tuesday, April 29th at 9am PDT / 12pm EDT / 5pm BST. The game will be accessible on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, and of course, it’s already available on PC.
The Towerborne team has also shared a detailed list of release times, as illustrated in the image below:
It’s also important to mention that although Towerborne is debuting on console and Xbox Game Pass, it will remain in an early access (or “Game Preview”) phase for now. Eventually, when it is fully launched, it is expected to switch to a free-to-play model – a rarity among Xbox Game Studios releases.
