The initial announcement is set for “before the conclusion of 2025.”

Previously, Ubisoft disclosed that after the discontinuation and removal of The Crew, it was planning to introduce offline modes for The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest—enabling fans to continue enjoying these titles even after their operational phase concludes. Today, the development team has shared an update regarding these offline patches.
In a recent update video, Ubisoft revealed that it will concentrate on The Crew 2 first, aiming to implement offline gameplay for it prior to the end of 2025. Nonetheless, due to the intricate task of adapting a game designed for constant online play to operate offline, several testing stages will be necessary before reaching the finalized version.
“As we announced during our previous The Crew Showcase, both The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest will incorporate an offline mode. Today, our focus is on The Crew 2, with initial development phases progressing well.
We are pleased to affirm that we plan to release a new hybrid gameplay mode before the close of 2025 for all The Crew 2 users.”
This ‘hybrid’ gaming model essentially includes both online and offline functionalities, remaining available until the game transitions entirely offline when Ubisoft decides to terminate support. Community testing for this The Crew 2 hybrid model starts next week for “selected” PC users—specifically on April 30th.
Regarding The Crew Motorfest, the implementation of its offline mode appears much further off, as the Ivory Tower team is currently concentrating on the game and providing live service enhancements. However, Ubisoft does assure us that “The Crew Motorfest will receive an offline mode” at a later date.
