Random: New Xbox Game Accidentally Gets $500 Price Tag On The Microsoft Store

It has now been discreetly addressed.

Each Saturday, we compile all of the upcoming Xbox launches at Pure Xbox, typically preparing those on Friday. Therefore, you can imagine my astonishment when I encountered a future Xbox title priced at $500!

The title in question is Golf Up, which for quite some time showed a pre-order amount of £419.99 / $499.99 on the Microsoft Store, eventually garnering attention from several Xbox enthusiasts. Take a look:

Fortunately, Microsoft has resolved the problem, revising the price to a mere £5.79 / $6.99 (just as I was drafting this article), so no need to fret – you won’t owe $500 to enjoy this upcoming indie golf game!

This incident raises the question of why such situations occur. This isn’t unprecedented – Panzer Dragoon Orta once appeared at $2,699.90 in New Zealand, for example. While not a significant issue, it’s certainly odd to encounter these occurrences, and hopefully, no one actually paid that outrageous pre-order charge!
