Update: Elena makes her comeback with fresh gameplay visuals
Update []: Capcom has unveiled new gameplay visuals of the upcoming Street Fighter 6 DLC character, Elena. This announcement follows her confirmation to be launched with the game’s Switch 2 debut on 5th June 2025.
This latest trailer not only highlights her abilities but also reassures gamers that her “signature healing” will be making a return. Here’s a snippet regarding that from Capcom via EventHubs:
“If Elena is feeling a bit worn out, she can choose to sacrifice some additional damage and utilize her signature healing to restore some Vitality!“

[Fri 11th Apr, 2025 00:45 BST] Capcom revealed it will be launching Street Fighter 6 on the Switch 2 last week, and today it has confirmed the release date for the final ‘Year 2’ DLC character, Elena.
This character, who first appeared in Street Fighter III: New Generation, will be available on the same day as Street Fighter 6’s Switch 2 launch on 5th June 2025. She will be playable across all game modes, including World Tour, the Battle Hub, and Fighting Ground.
This coincides perfectly with the launch date of the new Nintendo console. Fortunately for Nintendo gamers, the Switch 2 version includes “all characters and stages from both Year 1 and Year 2”.
Here’s the complete list of characters you’ll have access to in Street Fighter 6 on the Switch 2 from launch day. This includes both the original game characters and the ‘Year 1’ and ‘Year 2’ DLC fighters:

As previously announced, Capcom will also introduce a set of 22 amiibo cards and three amiibo figures based on Luke, Jamie, and Kimberly, enabling you to save and load your character’s outfits, their control schemes, and also acquire special items.
Street Fighter 6 for Switch will include cross-platform compatibility running at a “smooth 60fps” and will feature some exciting new modes including Gyro Battle (where you utilize gyro controls) and Calorie Contest (where you aim to burn as many calories as possible using the Joy-Con 2 controllers).
