Motivated by Elden Ring’s iconic Let Me Solo Her, whose whimsical aid gained them acknowledgment from Elden Ring’s publisher Bandai Namco and even in unrelated titles, fellow Tarnished champion Let Me Solo Them embarked on her own cooperative adventure a few years back. Staying true to her name, she aimed to assist players in overcoming the final adversaries of Elden Ring: Radagon and the Elden Beast.
Fast forward to this month, and she has achieved over 10,000 final boss defeats [Editor’s note: One of those was for me!] after investing nearly 5,300 hours into FromSoftware‘s extensive RPG.
In an interview with GamesRadar+, she explained her motivation for such a long commitment: “I discovered a way to play the game that brings joy to myself and others, and that’s the real reason I kept at it.” With this remarkable milestone, she can’t help but hope that the people at FromSoftware or Bandai acknowledge her contributions, as many players have.
Why engage in this endeavor initially? “Ultimately, I just love helping others,” Let Me Solo Them states. “To me, the struggle against the final boss is incredibly enjoyable; I can almost do it with my eyes shut due to repetition, but for other players, it carries tremendous significance and does so much for them. I’ve received heartfelt messages following battles and encountered many incredible individuals along this journey.”
Typically, she manages around 10 boss slayings per day but has had intense days where the count is much higher: “My best has been 100 in a single day, which involved around 13 straight hours of being summoned.”
I’ve defeated the final boss of Elden Ring 10,000 times as a summon! My character’s name is LetMeSoloThem (Let Me Solo Her inspired me, but we are not the same person) from r/gaming
Since our last update with Let Me Solo Them, Elden Ring unveiled the surprisingly (and seemingly predictably) expansive DLC Shadow of the Erdtree. This update modified many dynamics for our helmeted heroes, as Let Me Solo Her assumed various roles to tackle additional bosses, and Let Me Solo Them was no exception.
“Players I aided in the past sought my help again with the DLC bosses,” she mentions. “I had to assist in confrontations from Rellana to Consort Radahn (numerous times). It’s worth noting that although I predominantly assisted players with Radagon and the Elden Beast, I’m willing to aid anyone who reaches out for help.”
Let Me Solo Them is pleased with her 10,000 kills and doesn’t have another specific target in mind, but expresses, “I still wish to continue aiding other players, as it’s what I enjoy most. I am also really looking forward to the upcoming titles from FromSoftware.”
Interestingly, FromSoftware’s new games are practically designed to foster this type of communal support even more than its established asynchronous multiplayer format.
Elden Ring: Nightreign is a three-player cooperative action title that transforms the Lands Between into a session-based roguelike, and Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive The Duskbloods is an eight-player PvPvE title with an intense edge. While we may or may not have helmeted characters in these games, we will undoubtedly have cooperative play and the need for heroes.
