Bug corrections and additional features
After the launch of Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on the Switch last month, the inaugural update for the title has been rolled out.
This update elevates the game to Version 1.0.2 and introduces a plethora of bug corrections alongside various “modifications and enhancements” to features. Below is the complete list, sourced from Nintendo’s support page:

Bug Corrections
- Resolved a problem causing the game to crash during skell flight in the affinity mission: “A Girl’s Wings”.
- Addressed an issue where the hosting player’s location and appearance wouldn’t appear while joining Online Missions.
- Corrected a problem that prevented the destination marker for Material Tracking and Squad Tasks from appearing.
- Fixed an issue where sound effects played in mono during certain cutscenes.
- Resolved an issue involving the creation of a dummy character and data corruption when substituting Recruited Blades for standard characters. If data is compromised, this update will rectify the issue.
- Fixed an issue where ambient music would restart after battle completion.
- Resolved a problem when battling an enemy with debuff immunity that prevented the debuff name from displaying when trying to apply it using Soul Voice.
- Corrected a problem where the combat log was inaccurately shown during Overdrive.
- Fixed an issue where “Divine Nupopon incarnate” was missing in the cutscene for the Normal Mission “The Divine Nupopon”.
- Resolved an issue where players could still manage the main character after the fade to black following the completion of the second half of Chapter 13.
- Fixed an issue where the effects of Augments “Overdrive Green Bonus” and “Overdrive Blue Bonus” were not being applied correctly.
- Addressed a display issue where damaged parts appeared on Skell models.
- Resolved the problem where the Port Side of the Ma-non Craft would be inaccessible after loading an autosave following its unlocking.
- Fixed an issue where English text appeared in the German version of the game.
- Corrected a problem where the Japanese voice for “Eleonora” was playing in languages such as English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
- Resolved an issue where a dummy character was created, leading to data corruption when the recruitment/release of Recruited Blades coincided with a save.
- Fixed an issue where “00” was displayed when activating Overdrive with effects from the Augment “Overdrive Count Up” reaching three digits or more.
- Resolved a problem in Online Missions where parts were inaccurately restored upon entering or exiting a Skell.
- Fixed an issue causing the application to freeze when a character was added to a party immediately after a Recruited Blade returned.
- Resolved a display issue where “????” appeared in the “Fashion Gear” list.
- Corrected an issue where Skell weapons duplicated following a specific battle trait upgrade method.
- Resolved a display issue concerning slot openings at L’s shop when following certain steps.
- Made further textual corrections, including typos.
- Corrected certain acknowledged vulnerabilities.
Modifications and Improvements to Features
- Included tips that are showcased when accessing related tips on various menu screens, including the Class Change screen.
- Buff and debuff icons are now visible in Online Missions.
- Due to having two fundamental missions titled “Backup Request”, both quests have been given distinct names for clarity.
