Diablo IV x Berserk | Animated Trailer – YouTube

Watch On

Blizzard has disclosed the complete information about its forthcoming Diablo 4 Berserk partnership, showcasing an array of striking cosmetics inspired by Kentaro Miura’s legendary manga, along with one of the most eerie fictional beings I’ve ever encountered. As someone who finds solace in cosmic horror tales, that speaks volumes.

Blizzard hinted at Diablo 4’s inaugural collaboration last week, but now we have an extensive cinematic trailer and insights on its functionality through a new blog entry. Essentially, a themed currency has been introduced alongside items you can purchase with it, and some bundles will be offered in the in-game shop.

Fans of Berserk will identify the new obtainable currency, Behelits, which will occasionally drop from formidable foes, allowing you to exchange them at the new Berserk Reliquary. Rewards available include the Hawk’s Destiny Back trophy, the Skull Knight’s Heraldry Mount Armor, and the Brand of Sacrifice Marking. You can check those out below:

If you successfully gather all of the aforementioned loot, you will obtain the Od of the Berserker Emblem, “a powerful symbol reflecting the unyielding brutality of its wearer.”

While all this appears quite impressive, it seems the prime loot is mainly confined to the in-game shop, where you can use premium currency to acquire the emblematic Berserker armor for your Barbarian, the Hawk of Light and Struggler armor sets for your Rogue, and the fearsome Skull Knight outfit for your Necromancer. Additionally, there’s the Warhorse of the Hawk mount and an armor set that features the Fantasia Mount, Fantasia’s Bridle, Reborn Band of the Hawk Mount Trophy, and God Hand’s Gift Mount Trophy.

Lastly, there’s The Schnoz. While my experience with Berserk is limited, I was caught off guard by a scare when I encountered this new pet in the news release. Goodness gracious, I hope to never see it again. Regardless of its potential cuteness, I simply wish for it to be gone. In fact, its short appearance in the Diablo 4 in-game shop might just serve as the best deterrent for microtransactions I’ve ever come across.

The Diablo 4 Berserk collaboration is scheduled to run from May 6 at 10am PT through June 3 at 10am PT.

Blizzard states that Diablo 4 season 8 will commence a new emphasis on “permanent upgrades” for the base game rather than merely “temporary changes.”

After obtaining a degree in English from ASU, I began my career as a copy editor while freelancing for outlets such as SFX Magazine, Screen Rant, Game Revolution, and MMORPG on the side. Currently, as a Staff Writer for GamesRadar on the West Coast, I’m in charge of overseeing the site’s regional executive branch, aka my apartment, and documenting any horror game I’m too frightened to complete.
