Indeed, he appeared on a podcast once more
Shuhei Yoshida’s podcast celebration continues with a guest spot on the Easy Allies podcast, where he lauded Sucker Punch Productions and its forthcoming title, Ghost of Yotei.
When the game is mentioned, the ex-PlayStation executive expresses nothing but commendation for the studio.
“Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch always ensure the game feels just right,” Yoshida exclaims. “You lose awareness of the controller in your hands, as it plays so seamlessly and intuitively.”
Delving deeper into Sucker Punch’s approach, he notes that they “somehow, always have a playable [version] from the initial stages of development” which is “largely bug-free” and seldom crashes.
Yoshida adds that he experienced “numerous variations of Ghost of Tsushima and Ghost of Yotei” during his tenure at the company.
“Each time I visited the studio, despite having left the [first-party team], the game’s producer would invite me into his office and let me try Ghost of Yotei while it was being developed. He sought my input, and it always felt fantastic.”
Ghost of Yotei is anticipated to launch in 2025, although we have seen minimal previews to date. It will likely be highlighted as its release approaches later in the year.
