The Australian studio Winterwire Games has announced that its underwater puzzle platformer Power Sink is set to debut on the Nintendo Switch on 22nd May 2025 for $14.99 USD / $22.95 AUD / £12.79 / €14.79.
We have to confess that when we first viewed the trailer above, we instantly saw it as an adorable platforming interpretation of Bioshock. While there are definitely no Plasmids or Splicers in sight, the protagonist bears a striking resemblance to the Big Daddy.
However, it actually has little to do with Bioshock, as it focuses on solving logical puzzles across six distinct biomes while you explore the ocean depths. You’ll jump across platforms to channel power through decaying structures, all while communicating with your fellow ‘Tidekeepers’ via voice chat.
Take a look at the standout features:
– Logic-Driven Circuitry Challenges – Each puzzle represents a circuit awaiting your solution. Alter connections, finish pathways, and revive power by engaging with various components in innovative ways. The deeper you delve, the more complex the challenges appear.
– Traditional Platforming – Sprint, leap, and maneuver through the submerged ruins with smooth and satisfying movements, blending precision platforming with logic puzzles.
– Six Unique Underwater Environments – From worn-out steel hallways to radiant depths teeming with life, different biomes mark your journey downward. The station’s design becomes more elaborate, hues more vivid, and the marine flora and fauna more diverse as you restore energy and unravel its mysteries.
– A Journey into Enigma – Your adventure starts where the power failed. Fellow Tidekeepers guide and instruct you, their voices echoing in the abyss. The narrative of the station initiates with a blackout and concludes with a choice that only you can determine.
– Immersive Soundtrack – The station resonates with creaks, groans, and echoes from the deep, paired with a captivating, handcrafted soundtrack intended to draw you deeper into the abyss.
