Check out the unveiling trailer

As hinted earlier this week, EA has now officially revealed Star Wars Zero Company, a solo-player, turn-based tactical game.

“Lead an elite team through a gritty and genuine narrative set during the dusk of the Clone Wars,” states the official description on the game’s website. “You will embody Hawks, a former Republic officer who directs Zero Company – an unorthodox assembly of professionals for hire from various corners of the galaxy.”

Created by Bit Reactor “in partnership with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games,” the game appears to be exactly as anticipated — an XCOM title at its core, but infused with lightsabers and blasters.

The announcement trailer featured above starts with a cinematic introduction to the story before presenting some quick snippets of initial gameplay, highlighting the importance of strategic positioning and execution as you control each squad member.

“Hawks and Zero Company are enlisted for a mission that sets them against a looming threat poised to engulf the galaxy if not addressed,” conveys the trailer’s synopsis. “To prevail, Hawks will lead a coalition of reluctant allies who must overlook their disagreements to tackle seemingly insurmountable challenges.”

The game is scheduled for release on PS5 in 2026, and you can add it to your wishlist now on PS Store.
