However, the real surprise is hidden so deeply in the background that you would nearly need Superman’s enhanced vision to spot it. But it has been identified, and it’s one of the aspects I’ve longed to see in the upcoming Superman film.

Spotted it yet? In the background is the blurred yet distinct outline of Lex Luthor’s purple and green power armor, the combat suit he frequently dons in comics and other media to bridge the gap between the human Luthor and the Kryptonian Superman.

Even though it has appeared in video games and animation, the armor has never been brought to life in a live-action format. To me, witnessing that blurry hint is practically confirmation that something I’ve wished to see on film is finally happening.

I’m a massive fan not just of Superman but also of his arch-nemesis Lex Luthor, so it’s incredibly exciting to finally see this pivotal part of their intertwined narrative make its way onto the big screen.
