How to unlock the Ray Gun Mark II
The Ray Gun Mark II Wonder Weapon made its debut in Black Ops II. It is a three-round burst variation of the original Ray Gun. It can also be Pack-a-Punched, and it serves as a melee weapon as well.
This unlockable Wonder Weapon must be obtained in Shattered Veil. You can begin collecting the necessary components to unlock the Ray Gun Mark II as soon as you’ve followed the in-game directions that guide you down the elevator shaft to Pack-a-Punch.
Obtain the floppy disk
You may need to zip down into the elevator shaft at around round 10 or later. A specific zombie will spawn known as “Lab Technician.” Defeat this zombie to acquire the Floppy Disk item it drops.
Retrieve your code word
Take the Floppy Disk to the East Foyer, which is located by taking the right-side door from the large dinosaur bones display. You will find a printer/fax machine in the East Foyer. Interact with the computer next to this device to receive a code printed on a piece of paper.
This paper provides you with a code word. This code is unique for each match. Be sure to take a picture of this word and head to the Nursery.
Solve the nursery puzzle
To find the first letter of your code word, check the nursery chalkboard. The letter will belong to one of six groups. The number you require for this letter corresponds to the total number of letters in that specific group.
Repeat this process for all letters in your code word in order to obtain a numerical code.
For example: My code was WORM. I found each letter and counted the number of letters in the group it belonged to, resulting in my code being 7671. Your letter groups will vary, but you can see how I arrived at my code from the chalkboard shown above.
Retrieve the severed arm
Head into the Service Tunnels area. It’s advisable to be prepared here with an upgraded weapon, armor, and all essential perks.
A Doppelghast enemy will be behind a locked glass door. Enter the code into the keypad by the door. Input the numerical code you just received from solving the nursery puzzle. Defeat the Doppelghast and two other zombies that spawn alongside it. Collect the Severed Arm item dropped by the Doppelghast.
Claim your Ray Gun Mark II
Bring the Severed Arm you just collected further into the Service Tunnels. You will notice a metal garage door accessible to your left. Enter this to reach the map’s Armory. Be quick as you enter the Armory’s door, as you have only 60 seconds to grab the weapon.
The Ray Gun Mark II is secured behind glass. Interact with the keypad to use the Severed Arm to unlock the case. The Wonder Weapon is now yours.
It’s worth noting that the armory is also where you may collect key items randomly dropped by various enemy types. This allows you to receive a random item from a case, which could be perks, killstreaks, or weapons of various rarities.
