Only two days left

We’re quickly approaching the much-anticipated Switch 2 Reveal on April 2nd, and Nintendo is ensuring the excitement train is fully loaded and ready to unveil the design as it has just released a brand new image of the console through the Nintendo Today app.
Most of us will likely view this image the following day when local clocks turn to the ‘One Day To Go’ notification that the app has been counting down recently, but thanks to the wonders of timezones, those in Japan have already caught a glimpse of the new picture.
Instead of waiting until our region hits the official time, the image was promptly shared on social media (credits to @Stealth40k on BlueSky for this one), so we’ve managed to sneak a preview ahead of schedule.
Admittedly, there isn’t anything particularly groundbreaking about the image itself, which displays the hybrid in its three different play modes, but after so many months of silence from Nintendo, we’ll take any new information we can get. One aspect that did catch our attention was the ‘tabletop’ mode on the left and the ‘mouse mode’ Joy-Con next to it. Keep in mind, Nintendo hasn’t confirmed anything related to mouse functionality yet, but the initial reveal trailer’s description, recent patents, and this image increase the possibility significantly.
For those who haven’t been following the Nintendo Today app in recent days, daily updates have been counting down to the Switch 2 Reveal with a brief video capped off with ‘X Days To Go’. The full video for ‘One Day To Go’ has already been shared on Reddit (it’s just a minor zoom on the image above, no need to worry), but it certainly won’t be long until all regions have it available natively.
Have you noticed anything important in the image above? How excited are you for Wednesday? Share your thoughts in the comments.
