“He appears to be more of a hero than a debt collector.”
Our designated day in April has finally arrived here at Nintendo Life, and developers from around the globe are already sharing all kinds of humorous antics…
To add to the laughter, Level-5 has released a clever video – transforming the Fantasy Life franchise into a parody of Animal Crossing titled Life Crossing: Fantasy Horizons. The uploaded video (which even captures the essence of the narration perfectly) provides a whimsical tour of the “Fantasy Holiday Package” led by a “raccoon” named “Tim Crook”. In reality, he’s just a man in a poke well, as pointed out at the end of the video, but that certainly adds to the humor.
Level-5: “On April 1st, our annual April Fool’s project returns! We’ve shared a questionable (though undoubtedly entertaining) video. Please watch it with an open mind.”
The days of manual labor are over, as a robot now takes care of tasks in a “revamped housing experience”. Surprisingly, Tim proves to be quite adept with a sword for a debt collector.
Jokes aside, this video serves primarily as a promotion for the upcoming game Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, scheduled to launch on the Switch (and now also on PlayStation) on May 21, 2025.
When it becomes available, you will have the opportunity to choose from 14 roles “lives” (covering various professions like woodworking) as you explore a new island, build your town, race, and battle all sorts of adversaries.
Has this latest trailer for Fantasy Life got you excited for Level-5’s new game, or will you be returning to Nintendo’s paradise in New Horizons? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
