Lunar Remastered Series Talks Contemporary Declare Acting And Traditional Mode

With just a month left until the Lunar Remastered Series is set to debut, GungHo On-line Entertainment in the US has provided some details about the upcoming re-releases.

In an interview with PlayStation.Blog, GungHo Producer Matthias Pergams revealed that the team initially faced challenges when deciding which version to base the remasters on — as the games had been released on both SEGA-CD and later on PlayStation (Lunar: Silver Star Story also made its way to PSP and mobile).

“Every version has its own distinctions and advantages,” Pergams explains. “In the end, our decision hinged on which version we believed best captured the essence of the series. For us, that was the PlayStation version.” The series remains largely faithful to those PS1 versions too, with no changes made to combat or narrative, emphasizing the team’s goal to preserve the gameplay as originally envisioned by the developer GAME ARTS.”
