These are powerful words, given that the character has a strikingly unique appearance. His skin is pale white, and he boasts red eyes, deep black long hair paired with a handlebar mustache, and he dresses like a biker. Oh, and he’s bare-chested, wearing only a sleeveless jacket on his upper body.

If anyone can successfully wear such a costume, it’s Momoa, who has been openly advocating for the role of Lobo for many years. Now, he finally gets his chance, but he is not the first to bring this character to the screen.
The anti-hero has made numerous appearances throughout the DC animated universe, including two live-action portrayals. The first was back in 2002 for The Lobo Paramilitary Christmas Special, a short created by Scott Leberecht for the American Film Institute, adapting the one-shot of the same name, and the other appeared in Krypton, the Superman TV prequel that lasted for two seasons.
This is certainly the most notable on-screen depiction of the cosmic gun-for-hire. Momoa mentions he’s only involved for “a brief stint,” but we hope it leads to additional appearances.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is directed by Craig Gillespie and penned by Ana Nogueira, featuring Milly Alcock in the titular role as Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El. The film is described as a quest-driven narrative, where Supergirl and Krypto the Superdog embark on a search for retribution.
