As speculation surrounds Switch 2, it may seem like an unusual time to unveil a ‘new’ iteration of an existing Switch console, yet that is exactly what the specialty modding retailer GameTraderZero has accomplished.

You may recognize the name from their impressively unique custom Joy-Con and Pro Controller designs, but the company has also ventured into consoles, having already crafted a range of Game Boy and Game Boy Color handhelds equipped with improved screens and innovative casing designs.

GameTraderZero has utilized a variety of enhancements to create a prototype that could easily be referred to as the ‘ultimate’ Switch Lite, and was gracious enough to provide us with a sample of this improved device. Noteworthy features include Taki Udon’s SUPER5 OLED TouchGulikit NS-40T Hall effect analogue sticks, and a custom shell that showcases a stunning Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom design.
