“Challenge the perception”

Atari and Llamasoft have confirmed that I, Robotic is set to launch on the Switch on April 17, 2025.

Following their earlier nostalgic reinterpretation Akka Arrh, I, Robotic presents a vibrant twist on the classic arcade shooter from 1984. Recognized for being the first commercially successful arcade game depicted in flat-shaded, real-time, 3D polygonal visuals, its gameplay was not well regarded overall, but leave it to Jeff Minter to inject a touch of enchantment into this remake.

This game revolves around rebellion, where you play as “Sad Interface Robot #1984,” taking a stand against Big Brother. It’s straightforward! You’ll need to evade the gaze at the end of each level, navigating through 55 stages.

There’s a non-game mode available, allowing you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere, visuals, and sounds of the game, or you can opt to enjoy the reimagined challenges and surprises.

With dynamic audio and online leaderboards, you’ll have the opportunity to challenge fellow retro enthusiasts across the globe while getting lost in the vibrant aesthetics and sounds produced by Llamasoft.

I, Robotic was only just launched last month, so we are thrilled to announce that it’s coming very soon; especially amidst all the Switch 2 discussions.
