In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the God of War series on March 22, Sony has unveiled a variety of new merchandise for the series, featuring art prints, vinyl collections, collectibles, and more. A standout item is the God of War: 20th Anniversary Retrospective Set, which compiles artwork from the franchise’s 20-year journey along with insights from the developers. Preorders for the two-volume set are set to begin on March 17.

The God of War: 20th Anniversary Retrospective Set comprises a two-volume hardcover book series that showcases artwork, behind-the-scenes content, and recent interviews with key members of each game’s development team. Volume One: Greek Saga discusses the existing God of War Trilogy and its various spinoffs, while Volume Two: Norse Saga details the development of God of War 2016 and God of War: Ragnarok. Each volume comes in a beautifully designed collector’s box.
Pricing details have not yet been disclosed, and it’s unclear when the book set will be available. However, preorders will begin on March 17, and we expect it will be offered at all major book retailers. We will ensure to update with preorder links on Monday when the book becomes available for sale.
A variety of other items celebrating the God of War 20th Anniversary have also been announced, including a new series of art prints from Cook & Becker which will be available for preorder starting March 18. This will be followed by a 67-inch plush of the serpent Jormungandr that can be preordered at Fangamer beginning March 19.
Then on March 20th, preorders will open for an extensive 13-disc Limited Edition Vinyl set that features the soundtrack for every God of War game. A separate series may also be available focused solely on the current trilogy. The last major merchandise item is a God of War 20th Anniversary T-Shirt Collection. Each game in the series is receiving its unique shirt displaying its logo in metallic gold print on black fabric. Preorders for the t-shirt collection will go live on March 21.
The new merchandise is part of Sony’s extensive God of War 20th Anniversary celebration. Sony is presenting a complimentary 20th Anniversary Fan Kit that includes wallpapers and PSN avatars. Enthusiasts can also anticipate additional forthcoming events such as free cosmetic DLC packs for God of War Ragnarok inspired by the recent God of War and God of War II, discounts on God of War titles available on the PlayStation Store and Steam, an official art exhibit at Gallery Nucleus in Los Angeles, California, and much more.
