UPDATE 5pm UK: FuturLab has reversed its confirmation regarding the launch of a Switch 2 release for PowerWash Simulator 2.

Previously, FuturLab indicated to Eurogamer: “We do plan to release on Switch 2, but will provide additional details when we are prepared.”

However, FuturLab has now informed Eurogamer that the initial statement was incorrect, offering a revised version: “While we aspire to release on Switch 2, we do not currently have any definitive plans. There is no timeline or updates at this moment.”

With information about Switch 2 largely kept under wraps until April 2nd, Nintendo has yet to confirm any specific titles for the company’s forthcoming console. Perhaps we will learn more after that date.

ORIGINAL STORY 3pm UK: The enjoyable cleaning simulator PowerWash Simulator is set to receive a full sequel, expected to launch this year. Eurogamer can also confirm that the game will be released on Nintendo Switch 2.

PowerWash Simulator 2 will flood onto PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, and Windows Store, along with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S sometime in 2025, with further details on the Switch 2 version to follow.

The British studio FuturLab has introduced a host of significant improvements for this new edition, including four-player online co-op with shared progression, as well as a two-player local splitscreen option.

The game will also introduce a Central Homebase hub for your PowerWash enterprise, which players can customize with an extensive range of furnishings, showcasing collectible rewards.

PowerWash Simulator 2 will feature a complete new campaign, continuing from the original’s rather quirky ending (no spoilers here, scrub). This signifies returning to the grimy town of Muckingham and its adjacent Caldera County for more grime-filled tasks.

These tasks include a parade float, tram, and teapot home, as a brief initial glance at the game has revealed. The visuals of PowerWash Simulator 2 have also been enhanced significantly.
