“Katamari Damacy: Rolling Reimagined – A Fresh Chapter in the Beloved Franchise”

A brand new Katamari Damacy title has been launched, which will possibly debut exclusively on Apple Arcade.

Katamari Damacy Rolling Live marks the first original title in the series in nearly eight years and is slated for release on Apple Arcade on April 3rd. Once again, players will roll the Katamari to “roll, collect, and expand” while satisfying the King of All Cosmos.

The game promises “fresh and whimsical gameplay” alongside a “captivating soundtrack” as players activate the king’s “live stream”.

Katamari Damacy Mobile 2 (2012), Tap My Katamari (2016), and Amazing Katamari Damacy (2017) were all introduced on iOS. They were succeeded by the remake Katamari Damacy Reroll on Switch and PC in 2018 (later released on PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia in 2020) as well as its sequel We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie in 2023 across PC and consoles.

The inaugural game in the series, Katamari Damacy, was launched in 2004 for the PS2 and became a surprise sensation due to its quirky gameplay, where players roll a ball to gather objects from the environment and progressively increase in size.

Joining Apple Arcade on the same day is Space Invaders Infinity Gene Evolve, the latest installment in Taito’s shooter franchise. This follows the 2009 iOS release of Space Invaders Infinity Gene.

Additionally, forthcoming titles for the subscription service include puzzle game puffies, Atari’s RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic+, digital board game The Game of Life 2+, and Sesame Street Mecha Builders+.
