This information comes from the Xbox game comparison website Xbox-Now, which prominently displays a warning on its homepage advising users to “avoid using a VPN at this time, as several members from our Discord community have been banned indefinitely for employing VPN.”

A user named ‘Rho’ also shared their thoughts on the Discord platform regarding the circumstances leading to their ban:

This user is currently facing a ban, but they provided an update from another user who recently had their account reinstated, with Microsoft offering a detailed explanation behind it. According to Xbox’s support team, that specific ban was related to “exploiting price differences” in the Xbox Store, and not tied to the VPN usage itself.

This account was suspended for the improper acquisition or use of Xbox content. In this case, your account was found to be purchasing content from unauthorized marketplaces, taking advantage of price disparities between regions or countries that are not the state or nation of the account.
