The New York Toy Fair 2025 has just concluded, providing collectors and toy enthusiasts with previews of several major companies’ offerings for the year ahead. GameSpot was invited to attend this year’s event and was permitted to explore and engage with a variety of these products firsthand. There were a few instances of items we cannot disclose just yet, so here are some of the standout pieces we encountered and can share with you.

Among our highlights from this year’s Toy Fair are an impressive Dr. Doom helmet and mask, a Star Wars saga’s first Black Series figure, and two beloved 1980s franchises merging together.

A brief honorable mention: The Lego Ideas Cullen House. Lego Ideas is a fan-driven program for the company to create official sets. This project has been one of the most requested Ideas since Voltron surfaced and went viral. The project officially secured the necessary 10,000 votes to move into production and was ultimately released last month as a Lego Ideas exclusive.

Lego showcased the project for the first time, allowing fans an opportunity to finally see it after years of development. It includes seven mini-figures and features Jacob Black in wolf form.

The company also presented the Bluey Lego set in the showcase, which you can check out for yourself here.

1. Transformers Studio Series 86 Devastator

Unveiled last year, this massive Combiner arrives in the Studio Series for the first time. The 5-piece robot comprised of the Constructicons (Bonecrusher, Hook, Long Haul, Mixmaster, Scavenger, and Scrapper) will hit stores later this year, starting with Hook and Long Haul in a two-pack. The rest of the robots will be sold individually. Although Hasbro was only able to showcase the unfinished prototype, it remains striking up close with all those intricate details that replicate the animated version perfectly.

2. McFarlane's Superfriends

2. McFarlane’s Superfriends

The Challenge of the Superfriends animated series defined the Justice League and their greatest villains for an era despite having only a mere 16-episode run. A plethora of toys were produced from these classic designs for years, but now McFarlane has taken the animated style and scaled them up in this initial wave. Coming later this year, the first wave will feature Sinestro, Lex Luthor, Batman, and Green Lantern.

Additionally, there will be a Platinum Red Batman from the series’ Universe of Evil storyline. A Riddler figure will also be a Red Tag release. Each figure comes with a themed accessory featured in the show.

3. Mattel's ThunderCats x MOTU

While the Turtles of Grayskull line may have had mixed results, the latest crossover for He-Man and the Masters of the Universe seems to have been successful from its initial reveal. Drawing elements from both Third Earth and Eternia, this wave includes the Skeletor/Mumm-Ra (dubbed Skell-Ra), Lion-O, Cheetara, and Battle Cat Man, the first figure of its kind. This was our first glimpse of the possible second wave featuring He-Man, Tigra, and Panthro in Man-In-Arms-style armor.

4. Bandai's Jaws Bath Bomb

4. Bandai’s Jaws Bath Bomb

In celebration of Jaws’ fiftieth anniversary, Bandai joined the golden tribute by delivering fans something a little different. Shaped like the Orca, you can drop these bombs into your bath to initially transform your water blue like the ocean–only to turn bath time into a scene from a crime drama as it eventually turns red. Once the bomb has fizzled out, it will reveal the shark’s head that you can display.

This was previously available only in Japan, and now Bandai has added a few more heads to collect, including one with the gas tank in its mouth as well as a charred version.

5. Jazwares' Vault Orange Cassidy

5. Jazwares’ Vault Orange Cassidy

Unveiled during Jazwares’ Vault presentation, this “sketch” version features the AEW superstar outlined and etched onto the sculpt instead of standard paint. He will come with several sets of hands, including his signature lazy thumbs-up, a soft goods removable jacket, and an elbow pad. There’s also the International Championship, which is the title associated with Orange.

Orange was present to debut the figure alongside Jazwares’ Jeremy Padawer and is the first release in the AEW series.

6. Hasbro Marvel Legends Series Doctor Doom Mask

6. Hasbro Marvel Legends Series Doctor Doom Mask

With Avengers: Doomsday on the horizon, Marvel is set to put its greatest supervillain back in the spotlight. The same series that provided fans with Iron Man’s helmet and Star-Lord’s mask now presents the highly detailed visage of Doom, allowing you to assume the role of Latveria’s ruler.

This 1:1 scale sculpt was inspired by his iconic Jack Kirby design, featuring a removable fabric hood, and includes a gift sinister. Preorders will start on March 6 and will ship this summer.
