Rockstar Games Welcomes Video Games Deluxe to its Family, Rebranding as Rockstar Australia

Sydney-based developer recently worked on enhancements for GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition.

Rockstar Games has acquired the Sydney-based developer Video Games Deluxe, rebranding it as Rockstar Australia.

Video Games Deluxe contributed to the remasters of L.A. Noire and L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files, in addition to improvements on Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition.

“It has been a privilege to collaborate closely with Rockstar Games over the past ten years,” stated Video Games Deluxe founder Brendan McNamara. “We are excited to be part of Rockstar Games and continue our mission to create top-quality games.”

Rockstar Games’ head of publishing, Jennifer Kolbe, remarked: “After years of close collaboration, we are eager to welcome Video Games Deluxe to the team as Rockstar Australia.”

Founded in 2013 by former Team Bondi creative director McNamara, Video Games Deluxe played a role in developing the Rockstar-published detective title L.A. Noire, which was released in 2011.
