Can you sense it? Spring is in the air. The mornings are becoming brighter, birds are chirping, and plants are beginning to break free from their frosty soil limitations. And, to herald the forthcoming season, Xbox has additional Game Pass news to share.

Although we currently do not possess the full roster of March monthly additions (though we can expect that soon, so stay tuned), the Xbox team has disclosed eight games departing its Game Pass subscription service over the next fortnight, including Lies of P and Yakuza 5 Remastered.

South of Midnight will be joining Game Pass upon its launch; here are five elements we appreciated about it, along with two aspects we didn’t. Watch on YouTube

As of 15th March, the following titles will be removed from Xbox Game Pass on consoles:

  • Lies of P
  • Yakuza 5 Remastered
  • Yakuza 6: The Song of Life
  • No More Heroes 3
  • SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated
  • MLB The Show 24
  • Red Dead
  • Solar Ash

On the PC side of things, the subsequent games will be removed from the service within the next fortnight:

  • Red Dead
  • Lies of P
  • Yakuza 5 Remastered
  • No More Heroes 3
  • Yakuza 6: The Song of Life
  • SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated
  • Solar Ash

If you wish to continue playing these games after they leave Game Pass, you will need to purchase them. However, Game Pass subscribers enjoy a 20 percent discount.

Towards the end of last month, a little game you might have heard of – Balatro – became available through Xbox Game Pass. Here at Eurogamer, we have a soft spot for Balatro, naming it one of our favorite games of 2024. “It’s a product of remarkable depth and enchanting simplicity, rightfully one of the best and most unforgettable games you’ll experience this year,” our Katharine remarked in Eurogamer’s roundup of the 50 finest games of 2024.

For all other offerings on Microsoft’s subscription service, you can view our helpful Xbox Game Pass summary detailing the myriad titles available.
