Madbox Unveils One-of-a-Kind Studio in Annecy, France
Cell creator plans to expand its workforce by 15% in 2025, with half dedicated to the innovative jam
Cell developer Madbox has launched a brand new studio in Annecy, France.
According to Pocket Gamer, the studio commenced operations in January 2025 within the co-working space Les Papeteries – Image Factory.
Guided by game director Arthur Michel, the leadership team for the Annecy studio includes game manager Hugues Barlet and senior game developer Clément Auvray.
The developer aims to increase its workforce of 100 employees by 15% in 2025, with half focusing on the new jam.
“The primary reason we chose Annecy is that we believe the best teams create the finest games, and we strive to gather exceptional talent with a unique synergy,” stated Madbox CEO and co-founder Maxime Demeure.
“At Madbox, we had the ideal team for this, and they wanted a fresh environment in a stunning and artistic city. We opted to embrace the challenge and do something innovative by establishing a new space for a fantastic team we believe in.”
