Velan Studios, the team behind the unfortunately unsuccessful Knockout City, has revealed that its PlayStation-published dark FPS Midnight Murder Club will be available in early access for PC and PS5 on March 13th. Additionally, to encourage players to make a purchase, up to five friends can join for free.

Midnight Murder Club immerses players in the dimly lit environment of Wormwood Manor – equipping them with a revolver and flashlight, challenging them to be the last one standing. “You race towards your friends’ frantic shouts echoing through the mansion, only to encounter someone lurking in a shadowy corner!” Velan excitedly shares in a post highlighting the game on the PlayStation Blog. “Gunfire rings out, drawing other hunters to your position. Every flash of light promises an intense battle.”

The chaotic action of Midnight Murder Club features five distinct modes. There’s a Free for All option, along with Thief in the Night, Team Deathmatch, Headhunters, and the newly introduced Wildcards mode. This last mode allows players to use cards from their collection to modify the match’s rules – potentially granting players increased speed or causing them to explode in a fiery blast upon death – with new cards unlocking at the conclusion of the match.

Perhaps the most significant highlight of today’s announcement is the news that purchasers can invite their friends to play along without any additional cost. Friends will first need to download the complimentary Midnight Murder Club Guest Pass Edition, after which the buyers can invite up to five of them to participate in either public or private matches.
