“A forerunner to the grand tale of the Hundred Heroes”

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes was previously considered one of several RPGs set to launch on the Switch in 2024, and now the development team at Rabbit & Bear Studios has kicked off the release of the story expansion DLC.

As noted earlier, this begins with “The Chapter of Marisa“, which is set to arrive on the eShop this week. It will cost $7.99 / £5.99 (or the equivalent in your region). Of course, you will need the base game to gain access to this new prequel narrative addition.

This DLC is also part of the game’s Season Pass and Digital Deluxe Edition. Below is a full overview of what to expect from Marisa’s storyline, and the launch trailer can be found above. There is also a clear requirement to access this content:

In this expansion, a prequel to the narrative tale of the Hundred Heroes, players will get to discover more about Marisa’s journey as a Guardian. The plot centers around her encounter with an enchanted girl who is fascinated with ancient ruins and eventually becomes Marisa’s dear companion. The setting is within the lush Greatwood area and the magical Runebarrows. However, shadowy and corrupt forces are lurking nearby, and the pair embarks on a quest to uncover the truths surrounding the mysterious “Child of the Rune” they believe in. Players must have completed the battle “Recapture of Eltisweiss.”

This DLC will be succeeded by “The Chapter of Seign” on March 13th and “The Chapter of Markus” on April 3rd. You can find out more about these forthcoming DLC chapters in our previous coverage on Nintendo.
