“This collaboration is a transformative moment for the region’s gaming sector.”
Gamescom Asia and Thailand Game Show have joined forces to create Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show.
Scheduled to launch in October, the organizations stated that this merger “brings together the strengths of both realms: a robust global business and consumer platform alongside an exhilarating fan-centric gaming experience.”
Previously, Gamescom Asia welcomed over 40,000 participants from 78 different countries and showcased 177 exhibitors in 2024, while the Thailand Game Show attracted more than 185,000 visitors and featured 50 exhibitors.
“This collaboration is a transformative moment for the region’s gaming sector. Gamescom Asia has established its success on a strong foundation in Singapore, where it has thrived since its launch in 2021, positioning Southeast Asia as a center for gaming innovation,” said Mathias Kuepper, Managing Director and Vice President of Asia Pacific at Koelnmesse.
“By uniting with Thailand Game Show, we are unlocking exceptional opportunities to connect global gaming enthusiasts with one of the world’s most dynamic and passionate gaming communities. With its rich cultural heritage and growing gaming ecosystem, Bangkok provides the perfect backdrop for this exciting new chapter.”
“This groundbreaking partnership offers immense opportunities for gamers and developers in Thailand, representing a major advancement for our gaming industry,” added Pongsuk Hiranprueck, founder of Thailand Game Show.
“With strong government backing and collaboration, we are reinforcing Thailand’s position as a leading gaming hub in the region.”
