Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm has criticized Twitch, asserting he “should’ve never been banned initially” despite acknowledging behaviors that “veered too close to being inappropriate” with a minor in June 2024.

In response to the announcement that Twitch has revised its enforcement guidelines to impose various brief bans on streamers who violate the rules, Beahm conveyed his thoughts through his personal account on X/Twitter, stating Twitch “should’ve never permitted a low-tier employee to override the entire ban protocol”.

Even though it’s difficult to verify the authenticity of this X profile since anyone can now obtain a blue tick, the account was created in 2011 and appears to be Beahm’s personal profile where he shares outside of his Doc persona.

Even though matters have been ‘resolved 😎’, Twitch might want to consider the right path and amend their error of completely banning Doc by reinstating the channel.

“Although things have been ‘settled’, Twitch should rectify their mistake of permanently banning Doc by restoring his channel,” he wrote. “We should’ve never been banned in the first place.

“Twitch should’ve never permitted a low-tier employee to override the entire ban system, which had already concluded that we did not engage in any harmful behavior, due to biased views of the Doc character.

“They could’ve simply reached out and organized a brief five-minute call to understand that the mutual jokes and banter carried no serious implications. Ridiculous.”

Beahm acknowledged behaviors that “veered too close to being inappropriate” with a minor in June, after Twitch’s former director of strategic partnerships, Cody Conners, claimed an unnamed individual was banned from the platform “because [he] got caught sexting a minor”. These allegations were later directly associated with Beahm.

After a period away from the limelight, an incensed Beahm returned in a confrontational YouTube video in September where he repeatedly accused Conners and “self-proclaimed journalists” of executing a “calculated and orchestrated attack”.
