Great news, paranormal investigation enthusiasts – Phasmophobia‘s groundbreaking voice recognition capability is headed to consoles.

While PC gamers have enjoyed the horror experience with the added tension of voice recognition for some time, the October console release launched without this capability.

However, Kinetic has now confirmed that this feature is set to arrive on both PS5 and Xbox consoles, allowing console gamers to explore the voice prompts for tools such as the Spirit Box, Ouija Board, and Monkey Paw.

The delay of some of Phasmo’s beloved tools and equipment hasn’t discouraged console players, though – the ghost-hunting simulator has achieved two million sales on consoles since its official release from early access last October, bringing the total sales across all platforms to 22 million.
