Gamescom Asia is collaborating with Thailand Game Show to create a massive industry exhibition which organizers claim could be the largest in the region.

The upcoming event, titled Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show, is scheduled to take place from October 16 to 19 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok.

It aims to blend the realms of B2B and B2C trade by providing participants with “a dynamic global business and consumer platform along with an exhilarating fan-oriented gaming experience.”

Last year, Gamescom Asia drew more than 40,000 visitors from 78 nations, alongside 117 exhibitors. Thailand Game Show attracted 185,000 visitors and featured 50 exhibitors.

Gamescom organizer Koelnmesse characterized the collaboration as a “transformational moment” for the region’s gaming sector.

“By uniting with Thailand Game Show, we are opening new avenues to connect global gamers with one of the most dynamic and enthusiastic gaming communities worldwide,” remarked Mathias Kuepper, MD and VP of Asia Pacific at Koelnmesse. “With its rich culture and growing gaming landscape, Bangkok provides the perfect platform for this thrilling next chapter.”

Thailand Game Show founder Pongsuk Hiranprueck noted that the partnership is supported by “strong governmental backing” and reinforces Thailand’s status as a leading gaming center.

“We appreciate Gamescom Asia recognizing Thailand’s potential, and together we aim to create a new chapter in Thailand’s gaming narrative that will propel our industry to new heights,” he continued. “This collaboration will build on the work we have accomplished over the past 18 years.”
