Fingersoft’s COO Ville Rauma Departs from the Company
Fingersoft COO Ville Rauma has departed from the Finnish company after a tenure of 11 years.
Announcing his exit on LinkedIn, Rauma did not disclose the reason for his departure. However, he mentioned he is “exploring new job opportunities, considering joining a start-up, or potentially launching my own venture, yet I haven’t reached any conclusions.”
“I haven’t had sufficient time to entirely reflect on what this signifies for me, but I feel immense gratitude towards all my fellow Fingersoftians and collaborators whom I’ve partnered with over the years,” Rauma stated.
“When I first joined, we had one active game and a team of 12 individuals. Throughout my time [there], Fingersoft has developed multiple live games, doubled its annual revenue, and established a comprehensive game studio comprising 100 professionals.”
He concluded: “That achievement is not mere happenstance or luck; rather, it stems from everyone’s commitment and efforts each day to make it a reality.”
Rauma became part of Fingersoft in 2014 as a full-stack developer and product owner. He ascended to the role of COO in 2016, a position he maintained for eight years. During that period, he also served as acting CEO from July to December 2019 while the studio sought its subsequent leader.
