GTA 5 will receive a complimentary upgrade on PC next month to align it with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

This means it will provide enhanced graphical options and reduced loading times throughout the game, in addition to GTA Online features like new vehicles and performance enhancements, wildlife, and more.

The upgrade is expected to be available starting on March 4th.

The update will also include core-based anti-cheat measures and proactive voice chat moderation.

A variety of features for GTA Online will include: exclusive benefits for signing up for GTA+ Membership; a Career Progression tool to track criminal activities across all of GTA Online’s updates; a redesigned landing page; and an improved introductory experience for new players with $4 million to spend in-game.

Epic Mode and GTA Online progress will transition to this new version once downloaded.

Depending on hardware upgrades, GTA 5 players on PC will experience: ray tracing features such as ambient occlusion and global illumination; support for AMD FSR1 and FSR3, as well as NVIDIA DLSS 3; quicker loading times using SSD and DirectStorage; higher resolutions, aspect ratios, and frame rates; DualSense controller support with adaptive triggers; enhanced audio via Dolby Atmos.

The recommended specifications are as follows:

The upcoming title in the series, GTA 6, is anticipated to launch on consoles this year, although there are rumors of a PC launch as well.
