Crafted by Marc Guggenheim and illustrated by Kaare Andrews, Spider-Man & Wolverine seems to target precisely what enthusiasts of both heroes might anticipate from their partnership: grand, explosive action that intertwines with a “mystery deeply rooted in secrets from their histories.”
Both Wolverine and Spider-Man have a profound connection to hidden pasts. The enigma surrounding Wolverine’s forgotten memories has always been a critical aspect of his character development. In Spider-Man’s scenario, Peter Parker’s parents were covert SHIELD agents who perished while on duty, leaving him to be brought up by Aunt May and Uncle Ben.
Considering Wolverine has his own history with SHIELD and other governmental organizations, could the intrigue in Spider-Man & Wolverine pertain to a link between Peter’s parents and Logan?
