The team is “assured” about its release

At this moment, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been postponed several times and typically close to the scheduled launch date – but the game is reportedly “almost complete” and likely will not experience another delay.
This information comes from Insider Gaming, which exclusively reports that Ubisoft is “confident” in its March 20th launch date for AC Shadows – and that marketing efforts are poised to intensify for this critically important Ubisoft release.
“Of course, don’t say never to another delay, but Ubisoft has made preparations to enhance its marketing of Assassin’s Creed Shadows prior to its March 20, 2025 launch, including finalizing the embargo dates for the game’s review.
In conversations with multiple developers working on the project, they expressed a strong belief that the game would be ready for its March release date, with one source claiming that the game is now ‘almost completely done’.”
We’re emphasizing incredibly important because, well, there seems to be quite a lot hanging on this Ubisoft title. The French game developer has openly acknowledged that it is seeking additional funding at present – and is even contemplating an outright sale amidst declining revenues. It appears Ubisoft genuinely wants AC Shadows to succeed with its audience.
In any case, for now at least, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S in just about a month, marking the franchise’s first next-gen exclusive release.
