Xenoblade Chronicles X: The Ultimate Adventure Awaits
It has been quite a while since we last set foot on Mira, the world where humanity finds solace from an extraterrestrial danger in Xenoblade Chronicles X. In fact, it was possibly just a year or two after the game initially debuted on Wii U that we last engaged with it, and our dominant recollection (aside from the fact that it is stunning) is of an experience that needed to be free from the limitations imposed by the hardware it was running on.
Now, it’s not as if Xenoblade Chronicles X was a chaotic mess or anything like that. It operated at a stable 30fps, if memory serves, and it certainly looked impressive. However, it was a slice of sci-fi that consistently felt unclear, difficult to navigate, and cumbersome when it shouldn’t have been. It was the kind of game that was crying out for a significant resolution enhancement so that we could truly appreciate its beautiful landscapes in detail.
