Overwatch 2 Season 15 introduces a fresh start for the hero shooter, featuring a new perks system and reinstating loot boxes. Additionally, it signifies a ranked reset alongside the new gameplay features. Naturally, Season 15 also offers a new battle pass to the game, although this iteration lacks a unified theme since this season focuses more on gameplay adjustments rather than fresh cosmetic content. The new season also signifies a new year of competitive play, which means players can now earn competitive points to unlock the Galactic weapon skins for heroes, which can only be obtained through competitive matches.

One of the most significant alterations to the battle pass as part of Season 15 is the integration of loot boxes into the battle pass. Loot boxes can no longer be bought outright, but several can be found within the battle pass and as rewards for specific challenges. In the battle pass, there are three legendary loot boxes, two of which are included in the premium tier pass. These guarantee a legendary item each, while standard loot boxes only provide a slim chance of acquiring such an item. The battle pass also offers a variety of cosmetic items, such as emotes, highlight intros, victory poses, and name cards to unlock in both the free and premium versions.

The premium battle pass consists of various legendary skins, including Moist Day Kiriko, Goumang Hanzo, Cyber Enforcer Zarya, and Toxic Endeavor, as well as some Chronicle skins too. The premium version of the battle pass costs 1,000 Overwatch coins (approximately $10), but there will be a bundle priced at $40, which includes two rare legendary skins, the premium battle pass, 20 tier skips, and 2,000 Overwatch coins (around $20).
