In an interesting timelapse, one player dropped items worth 300,000 gold coins in a town. Throughout the video, you can observe NPCs gathering around to pick up various items from the heap. But what determines their choices?

Patrik Papšo, a programmer and open-world scripter at Warhorse Studios, stated, “Haha, that’s an NPC behavior I designed! They choose what to collect based on the item’s worth and their social standing. This is why nobles might overlook inexpensive items, while beggars will readily pick them up.”

Therefore, if you drop some bread near a noble, they are likely to disregard it, not wanting the townspeople to think less of them for consuming street food. However, if you were to drop an exquisite necklace, they would be much more inclined to take it. After all, even the wealthy want to obtain the finer things.

This adds a fascinating layer to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. While this concept has appeared in games before, its implementation here is particularly intriguing.
