Approximately 20 unverified job reductions reported

Studio: 10:10 Games

A newly surfaced document from Insider Gaming (thanks to Eurogamer) has disclosed that several layoffs have occurred at the studio 10:10 Games following the release of Funko Fusion in 2024.

Indeed, anonymous informants have claimed that the game was a “total commercial and critical disappointment” and serves as the primary reason behind approximately 20 unverified job losses. According to these sources, some employees were on vacation at the time and felt compelled to attend meetings despite being on leave and in different time zones.

To complicate matters further, it has been reported that no substantial severance packages have been provided by the company, with only “the bare minimum” being offered in addition to unpaid leave. It’s also suggested that employees were pressured into taking leave prior to the announcement to avoid the company having to make payouts afterward.

The job cuts appear to be entirely based on the demands for the studio’s upcoming project, with senior-level and upper management staff seemingly unaffected. Sources have also indicated that studio heads Paul Flanagan and Arthur Parsons wanted to be transparent regarding the layoffs and take public accountability for the job losses; however, no official statement has been made at the time of this writing.

If these layoffs are confirmed, the studio will join other companies like Ubisoft and Phoenix Labs in reducing their workforce, with the latter experiencing a loss of “the majority of the studio”.
