Josh Hartnett portrays a mercenary on a mission in the original action film Fight or Flight, which resembles Bullet Train but takes place on an aircraft. His character, Lucas Reyes, is reintroduced into the line of duty after spending several years on the run, as he is assigned to locate a mysterious prisoner on a flight crowded with assassins.

In a conversation with GamesRadar+, Hartnett shares that the film has been a long time in the making, but he was captivated as soon as he read the script. “When we initially started discussing the script in 2021, I hadn’t encountered anything like it at that time,” he clarifies. “I was unaware that Bullet Train was slated for release, which features a similar premise of assassins on a train instead of a plane.”

The main draw, according to the Oppenheimer star, was the film’s unique style. “I appreciated the blend of ’90s-style humor and action; it felt like a nostalgic, contained action movie, and I was fond of the character as well,” he recalls. “I believed it would be enjoyable to see a character starting from the very bottom and striving to regain their dignity.”

The film, set to premiere on Sky Cinema, is helmed by James Madigan in his feature film debut.
