
Glover Set to Make a Nostalgic Return: Release Date Announced for Console Revival
The beloved classic N64 platformer Glover now has a release date for contemporary consoles.
Thanks to the publisher and developer QUByte Interactive, Glover will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on February 27th of this month.
However, don’t expect any modifications for this re-release; it still looks and plays just like it did back on the N64.
Glover was first introduced back in 1998 by British developer Blitz Games Studios. As the name indicates, players control a large glove.
This leads to a wealth of creativity as the four-fingered protagonist throws, dribbles, bounces, and rolls a rubber ball through vibrant worlds to assist an elderly wizard after a magical mishap causes him to lose his enchanted gloves.
The game was released on PC in 2022; however, it has received “mixed” reviews on Steam due to issues with both sound and visuals in this port. Let’s hope these console versions perform better.
The original N64 release did receive predominantly positive reviews and was considered refreshing compared to other platformers of its time. A sequel was in development but…
