Retail Giant GAME Under Fire for Alleged Pokémon Card Scalping Amidst Skyrocketing Prices
By Representatives from GAME have charged the UK retailer with “scalping” Pokémon cards following the company’s decision to impose hefty shipping fees on the online sale of ‘Prismatic Evolutions’ mini tins (thanks to Eurogamer).
These mini tins do not seem to introduce anything new for the TCG market. They contain two booster packs and a collectible coin, priced at £10.99, indeed. The issue arises as GAME is also adding a substantial £19.99 “Oversized shipping” fee on top, making the overall purchase significantly less ‘mini‘ than the name implies.
