Steam Alerts Players When Early Access Games Are No Longer Supported

A notification now alerts gamers if it has been one year or more since an early access title has received an update.

Steam now notifies users when early access games have not been recently updated.

As noted by SteamDB, early access titles that have not received an update in a while will now show a warning to potential players, stating: “The last update made by the developer was over [X] months ago.”

“The information and timeline presented by the developers here may not be current.”

It is anticipated that this message will appear for games that haven’t been updated for one year or more.

While Valve has not officially commented on this feature, it is likely that it was implemented due to the increase in early access releases.
