The CEO states that Haddad’s exit “offers an opportunity for fresh perspectives, and the potential to develop the next remarkable chapter.”
The president of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, David Haddad, is departing from the company.
After leading Warner Bros’ gaming division for 12 years, Haddad will vacate his role in April once the board selects a successor.
In a communication to staff, as reported by Variety, JB Perrette, CEO and president of Warner Bros. Discovery International Streaming and Games, remarked: “David has deliberately and thoughtfully selected a moment when our release schedule is less intense, which will help lessen disruption to our ongoing projects and strategic objectives and allow this team to adeptly prepare for its next record-setting title.”
“I completely understand that after 12 years with the same leader, change can be challenging and unsettling (and our industry, along with WBD, has certainly experienced its share). However, it also introduces potential, an opportunity for innovative viewpoints, and the capacity to craft the next extraordinary chapter for our supporters and our company… and I’m eager to embark on that journey with you.”
