The entire editorial team at God is a Geek has resigned collectively after its founder, Calvin Robinson, performed a Nazi salute at an event last week, sparking widespread outrage that led to him losing his position within the Anglican church and affecting the work of the site still associated with his name.

Robinson – who is reportedly no longer part of the site’s editorial team but is still acknowledged as its owner – asserts he is “not a Nazi”, but performed the gesture at the National Pro-Life summit last week as a “mockery of the hysterical liberals.”

In a statement this evening, the team remarked: “In light of the recent actions of GIAG’s owner, the editorial team has made the decision to cease publication on GodisaGeek.com.”

“We have each dedicated years of effort into this endeavor, striving to maintain progress despite the actions of our estranged owner. His involvement with the site has been nonexistent for several years, but we can no longer continue to pretend otherwise.”

“To be utterly clear, we do not endorse, share, or approve of Calvin Robinson’s political views or actions.”

The team – made up of Adam Cook, Mick Fraser, Chris White, Chris Hyde, and Lyle Pendle – stated that they have “managed the site independently of Calvin for several years in hopes of preserving the hard work we have invested in it, the opportunities we have strived for, and the relationships we have built,” but today admitted it has become “increasingly evident that we can no longer dissociate the site from the owner.”
