Chronicle Creator’s Next Script Takes the Stage

Update[Wed twenty-ninth Jan 2025, 5:55am]: Following his departure in December of last year, Hironobu Sakaguchi appears to have shared additional details regarding his upcoming endeavor during an interview with The Verge (thanks for the update, Push Square).

When asked about future plans, Sakaguchi confirmed he is embarking on a “new project” with the “same team” that collaborated on FANTASIAN Neo Dimension.

He further noted that this project will apparently have ties to Final Fantasy VI and is expected to exhibit a “similar aesthetic” to his previous creations. This is anticipated to contribute to a potential “part two” of his farewell:
