Moon Full of life has reportedly laid off no less than 20 staff members, primarily from its Lithuanian office, though employees from Poland, Armenia, Ukraine, Türkiye, and Israel have also been affected.

The Lithuania team previously worked for Melsoft before Moon acquired the studio in 2020.

While the company has not yet officially confirmed the layoffs, App2Top reports that dozens of former employees have “simultaneously” indicated they were seeking employment on LinkedIn, and a whistleblower on Glassdoor stated, “it was enjoyable to be there for five years until […] the mass layoffs of [sic] January 2025.”

In November 2021, Moon Full of life, the developer of Coin Grasp, raised $300 million in investment.

The wave of job reductions from last year appears to be ongoing into 2025. Just in January alone, we have reported on the closure of Freejam, Splash Injure, Piranha Video games, Jar of Sparks, in addition to 185 positions cut by Ubisoft.

Earlier today, we reported that Quick Travel Video games cut 30 positions, mainly from its publishing, marketing, and administrative divisions, and Phoenix Labs let go of the “majority” of its workforce.
