Pokemon TCG Pocket enthusiastic players who participate in illicit activities such as real cash trading may face bans.

Though trading has not yet launched within the game, it appears that some players have discovered a workaround—and have caught the attention of developers DeNA and Creatures Inc. in the process.

A message shared in-game (as noted by Eurogamer) corroborates this—warning players that they may experience account suspensions and “further action” if they violate the Terms of Use.

“We are aware that some users have participated in data manipulation, real money trading, and other actions that breach the Terms of Use,” the announcement states.

“If it is determined that a user has engaged in actions that breach the Terms of Use, we will issue warnings, suspend their accounts, or undertake other measures. We remain committed to ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.”

Pokemon TCG Pocket debuted in October 2024 but was initially missing a crucial feature—trading. DeNA and Creatures Inc. have since confirmed that this feature will be introduced on January 30, 2025.

The free-to-play mobile title had surpassed 30 million downloads globally by November 2024. Specific revenue figures remain unclear, but estimates from AppMagic indicated that the game had generated approximately $24 million by early November.
