Ubisoft Leamington is closing its doors completely alongside Ubisoft Düsseldorf, Ubisoft Stockholm, and Ubisoft Reflections, which are also affected.

Ubisoft is decreasing its workforce across various European studios—including a complete shutdown at one location—leading to 185 job eliminations.

The Leamington studio in the UK faces the most significant impact, with our partner outlet, Eurogamer, suggesting that only a “small number” of its 50 employees may retain their positions.

Ubisoft Düsseldorf, Ubisoft Stockholm, and Ubisoft Reflections are also affected as part of a “targeted restructuring” initiative aimed at “prioritizing projects and reducing expenses.”

“In line with our continuous efforts to prioritize projects and cut costs for long-term sustainability at Ubisoft, we have announced specific restructurings at Ubisoft Düsseldorf, Ubisoft Stockholm, and Ubisoft Reflections, along with the permanent closure of the Ubisoft Leamington facility,” a Ubisoft representative stated to GamesIndustry.biz.

“Regrettably, this will affect a total of 185 employees. We are sincerely thankful for their contributions and are devoted to assisting them during this transition.

The wave of layoffs from last year seems to be continuing into 2025. In January alone, we reported on the shutdown of Freejam and Splash Damage.
